Sherif Ramadan, 39, of Atlantic City was charged with burglary, police said.
On October 2, 2023, at 8:50 a.m., police Officers Justin Peyton, Hiram Mercado, and Rusty Bouffard responded to City Hall in the 1300 block of Bacharach Boulevard for an unauthorized person in the building found by staff members.
The officers arrived and found Ramadan in an office on the fourth floor, police said. Ramadan was taken into custody without incident. He was found to have an active warrant, police said.
Ramadan allegedly entered the building on Sunday, Oct. 1 when it was not open to the public, police said. Surveillance coverage is being reviewed to determine if additional charges are needed, they said.
